Developed by geologists with the utmost respect for whisky.

After testing several rocks from different Islands in the Faroe Islands UNDIRGRUND discovered which basaltic rocks were tough enough to handle the sometimes oil-rich whisky. The Rocks are very unique, because they have the perfect hardness which don't scratch the whisky glass.

In the third basaltic layer in Porkeri on the Islands Suðuroy the basaltic layer was so dense and compressed, that it could withstand any very mature whisky.

These 60 milllion year old basaltic rocks were perfect as whisky-rocks!
